Raw Material Inspection
The foundation of a high-quality white masterbatch lies in the purity and performance of the raw materials. Mascom Global uses premium rutile TiO₂ with purity ≥95%. Every incoming batch undergoes thorough evaluation before it is allowed to enter production. QC checks include:- TiO₂ content analysis
- Whiteness index verification
- Moisture content measurement
- Particle size distribution
- Dispersion level and impurity check
Pre-Production QC Evaluation
Before feeding materials into the twin-screw extruder, the QC team performs another layer of inspection to verify the internal consistency of the formula and the suitability of additives for each grade. This includes:
- Testing polymer carriers (PE/PP) for melt index and density
- Verifying additive quality (dispersants, antioxidants, stabilizers)
- Confirming TiO₂ loading ratio for each grade
- Checking the whiteness shade compared with the standard sample
- Testing heat-resistance performance under processing temperatures
- Reviewing customer-specific requirements such as gloss level or film opacity
Material Mixing QC
Accurate blending is crucial for TiO₂ to disperse uniformly. Mascom Global’s automated batching system is monitored for:- Calibration accuracy of weighing systems
- Consistency in raw material feeding
- Uniform mixing of powders and additives
Extrusion and Compounding Process Control
Mascom Global uses modern twin-screw extrusion technology to achieve optimal dispersion of TiO₂. During production, QC continuously monitors:- Temperature control in each heating zone
- Torque and pressure stability
- Screw speed and feeding rate
- Color uniformity of molten compound
- Venting and moisture removal performance
Early-Stage Pellet Inspection
Immediately after pelletizing, QC inspects the newly produced pellets to detect early signs of defects. Checks include:- Pellet shape and surface smoothness
- Absence of black specks or impurities
- Uniformity of pellet size
- Initial moisture content
- Odor evaluation to detect overheating
Laboratory Testing for Each Batch
Every batch of white masterbatch undergoes formal laboratory testing to confirm it meets Mascom Global’s internal standards and customer specifications.

Application Testing on Simulated Production Lines
To guarantee product stability under real operating conditions, Mascom Global performs application tests such as:- Blown film trials
- Injection molding samples
Final Inspection and Packaging
Before packaging, a final inspection ensures:- Color stability across the batch
- Pellet uniformity
- Absence of contaminants
- Consistency between bags
